It’s a big Musical weekend here so tonight, we drove out to Westhampton to watch some of our amazing Youth Group students perform in the musical, 9 to 5.
I’d actually never seen 9 to 5, thought somehow deep in my mind, that song somehow made itself familiar.
It’s themes were probably a bit more risqué than The Little Mermaid, but overall, it was fun and enjoyable to watch.
It was extra fun to see Officer Kirwin make a starring appearance.
We know already the outstanding and influential presence he is making in the Westhampton Schools and we are just so proud of him and all that he is doing, including showcasing his acting skills.
And as far as the rest of the Musical…
It was delightful. These three young women all had starring roles and they all did an absolutely incredible job.
I always love seeing the energy and talent that the cast puts out for these productions.
But as I mentioned last night, I also have such a deep appreciation for the crew as well as those who put their heart and souls into playing in the Pit.
Our dear friend Hannah was a rock star tonight, and the brilliance behind the percussion portion of the night. I absolutely enjoyed watching the musical, but also equally enjoyed watching Hannah in constant motion as she jumped from instrument to instrument with beauty and grace.
A huge congratulations to the everyone who helped to make Westhampton’s musical 9 to 5 a great success! There is one more showing tomorrow (Sunday) at 2:00pm. In a fun turn of events, admission is free and I know the students would appreciate the love and support from friends and families in our local communities.
