Happy Easter Friends! Sadly, we weren’t able to enjoy our annual Sunrise Service due to the freezing cold rain that decide to come only at 7:00am. We did however, still enjoy a beautiful breakfast all together at church, so that was awesome and delicious.
Each year at this time, I’m reminded how thankful I am for our church family.
Since we don’t have immediate family nearby, we personally love that we get to enjoy an entire church full of such wonderful people.
This year was extra special too, because Jeremy’s family friends who were visiting drove all the way back from the City to celebrate Easter morning with us. We loved seeing them again.
On the theme of families, one of my favorite things to do in between Easter morning activities, is to take pictures of families.
These two amazing families let me take their pictures right before our worship service and it made me so happy. For the record, Eastport Bible Church has the most wonderful families and if you’re ever looking for a local church, come and join us!
I am tremendously proud of my amazing husband who delivered a powerful and good sermon for our Easter Morning Service.
He incorporated our family’s favorite treat, açai bowls and gave a beautiful connection of receiving life from death applying it somewhat to the açai fruit but mostly to Jesus’ death and resurrection which brought eternal life to us all. You’ve got to love a sermon that can present those powerful truths in such a delicious way.
During the service, I snuck out take a few pictures during the children’s ministries that go on throughout our service. I caught this precious image and it made me so happy to be a part of a church that loves and values children so much.
All in all, it was a wonderful Easter morning.
After the service, I captured a few more pictures of people we love.
And then found someone to take this picture of us. Because just like any other mom, I always want a nice picture of our family, especially when we’re all dressed up. For the record, my Easter present to myself was a new dress. Considering I literally can’t remember the last time I bought one, I figured it was time. Also, I may have picked a dress shirt for Christian, but have gotten to the point where I realize it’s most important that our kids have the right heart and that clothes are secondary. Both kids waited patiently for about fifteen minutes for their parents to stop talking so we could do this picture and when they did it with cheerful hearts, that was good enough for me.
After church, we came home for a nice family day. The kids got a few fun gifts in honor of Jesus and we mostly just relaxed.
Wishing you all the happiest of Easter Days! For me, this day is so significant because it’s the day that Jesus conquered death and fulfilled every promise that was written about him. I’m so thankful to call him my Lord and Savior and to celebrate His resurrection on this wonderful day.
Love it!
