A couple of weeks ago, I noticed an advertisement in our church bulletin for the “1st Annual Fiber Games” event. It was hosted by Deb Cigna who runs our church’s “Scarves of Many Colors.” They are basically this incredible group of women who get together all year long to knit hats and scarves for our church’s “Serving the City” outreach and other local charities.
Deb had a great turnout for the Fiber Games.
She provided a beautiful lunch for the ladies that attended.
After everyone had eaten, Deb explained the different game stations that had been set up for the afternoon.
Each game was connected with the “fiber” theme of the day and everyone had a fun time playing them.
Ellee and her friend Lily had a really fun time playing the different games.
A huge thank you to Deb and all of the ladies who joined in for our 1st Annual Fiber Games. It was the perfect event to kick off Deb’s “Scarves of Many Colors” Group. Starting next week and every Monday, they will meet at 4:00pm at Eastport Bible Church. The group is for both experienced and inexperienced knitters and crocheters. And I’m quite sure that if you’re not sure how to do either, you should still come and you’ll be met with an incredible group of women who would love to teach you knitting or crocheting. If today is any indication, this is a fun group who enjoys getting together for good times and great conversations.
