So many times in life, we look around at the hurt and the pain and the injustices and we realize that we can’t do everything to help. But then we realize, that we can do some things, and that those things can make a big difference.
I’ve spent the past year sharing about Michael Einfeldt and the journey to recovery that he started after suffering a traumatic brain injury following a horrific car accident. Many of you read my last post sharing Sally’s desire to bring him home for continued recovery and healing. And many of you reached out, wondering how you could help. If this has been you, well then, this is the post you need to read.
Next Sunday, February 12th, at Eastport Bible Church, from 6:00pm-6:30pm, we are holding a meeting for those of you who are local and who have a desire to help Michael Einfeldt and his family. We will have a time of prayer and then do some planning for how we can come together as a church and community to support the Einfeldts.
If you have a desire to help, we would love to have you join us! It will be a quick meeting but one where we can start to figure out the best ways we can help. If you can’t make the meeting, but still want to help, please just let me know by commenting here or on Facebook. We will get you in the loop.
I talked to Sally last night and she is very hopeful. Hopeful for this next phase and hopeful as she works to figure everything out. As I mentioned before, things are still all very in the beginning stages, but what we know is that if Michael is able to come home, there will need to be renovations made to the Einfeldt’s house. That being said, you don’t have to be a skilled carpenter to help out. Or goal is to use our gifts and talents and come along side of this wonderful family as they work to bring their son home to heal.
So, please be keep praying for things to work out how they need to and please consider how you can come and be a part of “Team Einfeldt.” And if you’re able, come and join us, next Sunday, February 12th from 6:00pm-6:30pm!
Great idea!
We don’t live locally, but we’d like to make a monetary donation. Where should it be sent and who can I make check payable to?
Hi Kathleen! If you would like, you can make and send a check to Eastport Bible Church and we will make sure it gets to the Einfeldts. Just add a note with it or in the Memo Line that it is for Team Einfeldt and that will designate it to them and this project. Thanks so, so much!
