1st and 3rd: Underground Church

It’s the 3rd Friday of the month and tonight from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Eastport Bible Church, we hosted about 35 teens for a game we like to call Underground Church.

The rules were pretty simple, and most of the kids were pretty familiar with the game.  It’s a little bit like a live-action version of the game Mafia, in the dark.

Since most of the game is played in the dark, it was a bit challenging to get good pictures of the action that was happening.

So I mostly took pictures during the jury trials.  I’ll finish up the writing here and just leave you with some pictures of our night.  All in all, it was great.  Thankfully, no one got hurt while running around two floors of the church in the dark and for that, I personally was very thankful.  Granted, I’m usually the only mom that is there thinking/worrying about these things.  But I always say a quick prayer for safety and always breathe a nice sigh of relief at the end of the night when everyone goes home safe and sound.  Thanks to my awesome husband Jeremy for putting together another fun 1st and 3rd event and also to everyone who came out for this fun game night.  If you are local and have a 7th-12th grader, our Youth Group is open and we always welcome new friends.  We have normal Youth Group on Thursday from 7:00pm-9:00pm and also run events on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.  Many of them take place at the church, but occasionally, we’ll just get all of the teens together and take them out to do fun things as well.

Also, a friendly reminder for our Youth Group parents.  Our Breakaway weekend retreat to Pennsylvania is coming up soon!  If you have questions about anything, you can always feel free to get in touch with Jeremy or I.  We also have a Parent Meeting this coming Thursday, January 26th at 6:00pm where we will give you all the details of the weekend and any other info that you might want to know.  You can get the registration forms online at www.ebcyg.com under the Breakaway tab.

Shoutout to Steve-O.  He wasn’t feeling the greatest, but still stuck around to hang out and have fun with us tonight.  We love this guy.
