He’s most recently an avid bike rider. He got a beautiful new road bike this year and it’s his new favorite hobby. He’s super committed to it and rode over a hundred miles this past week which is probably more than I’ve ridden in my entire life.
He loves to watch sports, and knows more about them than anyone I know. He loves his Seattle teams and sticks by them through the ups and downs. Thankfully for the Seahawks and for Jeremy it’s been an up year.
He enjoys his coffee. Usually the authentic and strong stuff. Straight up, no cream or sugar. I think because he started with espresso on one of our trips and has never looked back.
He’s a great husband and father. He’s my best friend and though we have our moments, we are better together than we’d ever be alone. He also loves his kids so incredibly much. Nothings brings him so much joy, as to cheer them on, in whatever they happen to be doing at the moment.
As far as jobs go, he’s a Youth Pastor. Which means that he’s spent the last thirteen and a half years encouraging teens to love Jesus and to do great things. This past week, he led Sunday School, a Sunday night Small Group, games for Hangtime, Youth Group and last night took a bunch of teens for Leadership training and half off apps at Applebees. On top of that, he spent this weekend cheering on two of our students at their different football games.
What can I say? I’m proud. Proud of my husband and the amazing things that he does.
And I write all of this to share that in between everything else that he’s done, this week, he’s also put hours and hours into preparing his sermon for tomorrow. For the next two weeks, he’ll also be taking over and preaching while our Senior Pastor is away. He’s talking about God and he’ll do it in the way he always does. A way that is in depth but understandable and applicable to daily life. And that being said, if you’re local, this is your invitation to come tomorrow for our 9:30am Worship Service at Eastport Bible Church. We have an incredible church family and we would love to have you join us. We will even entertain your kids with our nursery, preschool program and Kids Church for K-6th graders.
If you need encouragement or love or support, come and join us. I know Jeremy has great things to share tomorrow at church and we hope to see you there!
