It’s VBS Week at Eastport Bible Church and this would be my midweek post.
Overall, we could not be more thankful for all of the amazing kids that have joined us for our weeklong camp. We’ve had about 150 kids throughout the week all having a great time singing songs, playing games and most importantly learning great things about Jesus and how much He loves them.
Of course all of this could not happen without the incredible staff of leaders and helpers that we’ve had volunteer their time to serve this week. Many of our leaders have been around for years and years of VBS and their knowledge and love of this week always makes it extra special. And I’m always excited to share about the incredible group of teenagers that come to help as well. They are doing a wonderful job assisting our teachers and being there for the kids.
We even got to have Josh Tuttle, a teacher from Westhampton come and help us learn more some extra fun facts about caves (our theme for the week is Cave Quest, which has been fun and educational as well).
And the kids? They are learning and growing so much!
It’s always fun to see how attentive they are as they take in all the great things that our program has to offer this week.
A fun highlight is always our daily skit. Cindy and Steven have done a great job making the stories come alive in a fun and interactive way.
We could not be happier with how wonderfully this week has gone.
At Eastport Bible Church, we absolutely love working with children and helping them to see how wonderful and important they are, not only to us but to God.
It’s one of the main reasons that we run this free, weeklong program.
I stayed back today to get some pictures and video clips of the Pre-K through Fourth Grade classes.
It was so fun to see them work hard during craft time.
As well as have fun outdoors for game time. I mostly caught video clips which I will use to put together our highlight video which will be shown on Friday as well as Sunday during our worship service.
Afterwards, I caught up with the fifth and sixth graders who get to go off site and enjoy local pools throughout the week. We have some very generous and gracious families who open up their pools and yards to us. It’s been especially fun this year because we have a huge group of students and we have just loved spending this time with them.
It’s Wednesday night, which means that we have two more fun filled days to enjoy. Please keep praying for our program, our leaders and our students as we finish out our time having fun while learning more about Jesus.
