Michael needs our prayers.
Because unfortunately, he’s had a pretty rough week. When Jeremy and I visited him on Monday, Sally shared that she was noticing a few things that weren’t quite right. Thankfully, with her nursing background and her incredible love and attention for her son, she is very much in tune with his needs and his responses. After a few conversations with doctors at his Rehab, it was decided on Tuesday, that Michael would need to head back to Stony Brook for tests and observations.
This resulted in some pretty difficult days for Michael and his family. I got a few texts updates and had a few time to speak with Sally throughout his stay at the hospital. There was a lot of frustration as everyone worked to figure out what was going on and the best possible way to help. My heart ached with Sally hearing the struggle in her voice and I promised her that we would pray.
James 5:16 tells us that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective. And this is exactly what Michael needs right now. He returned to Rehab yesterday, but has really been struggling with the neuron storming again. It’s causing him discomfort and he’s just in a pretty tough place right now.
So will you please join me in praying for Michael? Can we please pray that the storming will stop so that Michael can have peace and comfort and also that he would be able to get back to his therapies. Can we please pray for Sally, Mike and Sarah who have been so diligent in their love and support for Michael? They need strength and peace and comfort too. God continues to be in control of this situation, even when things are hard and we continue to trust that He will work all things for Michael’s good. So please join me in lifting everything up in prayer so that our friend Michael can be healed and strengthened by God’s hand through prayers that are powerful and effective.
