Portrait Series: Darren

I met Darren years ago, when he came to our Youth Group with a group of his friends.  He ended up sticking around and we enjoyed having him join us for a variety of events over the years.

Like many other youth group students, he also came to Breakaway.

We got the chance to encourage him and to let him know how awesome he was and how much God loved him and had a great plan for his life.

And because Darren came, we also got the bonus of having his sister Victoria.  She would go on to become one of my very close friends and she still is to this day.

Over the years, we learned that Darren was a great guy.  Hard-working and driven and a great friend as well.

So a few weeks ago, when he contacted me about getting some head shots taken for his professional portfolio, I couldn’t have been more happy to help.

Darren is currently studying at Stony Brook University to become an Actuary.  During our session, he took time to explain it to me and I still probably couldn’t tell you exactly what it is, but I know it means he’s incredibly smart and that he will do very well once he passes his tests and graduates from college.

I have no doubt that Darren will go off to achieve great things in life.

I’m so thankful that Darren stopped in so that we could shoot a Headshot Portrait Session.  Great pictures that are well done and that reflect your true personality are so important in the professional world.  I’m guessing they beat a good selfie, any day.  If you are looking for a fresh new series of Headshots, please feel free to contact me anytime: lauraherr8@gmail.com or 631-448-1100.  I’d love to meet up with you so that you can get portraits that reflect your very best.

I love Jesus, my Youth Pastor Husband and our two beautiful children. I'm a professional photographer and I love people, especially kids. My best days include time with my family, Hot Yoga and a Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream cone.
