As Michael is healing, it’s been so good to see the love and support that he’s received from his family, his friends, his church and his community. There have been countless prayers, and visits and messages and every one of them has continued to give encouragement and love to Michael and his family.
As I’ve said before, I truly believe that we were never meant to do this life alone. And to see everyone who has come around Michael… It’s been a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Today, we had another great visit with Michael. He was sitting in his special hospital chair when we arrived and was surrounded by his family. We spent a good amount of time, talking and sharing and it was just good to be together. Michael has remained pretty constant over this past week and it’s been good to see him this way.
And overall, I am so thankful to know that things are going relatively well.
And I suppose that my thoughts are just short and simple today. So I found an equally short and simple verse to go along with them. And I felt that it fit in with times that are good, but also times that are hard too. To be honest, it seems that throughout today, I experienced a bit of both. But at the end of today, I realized that I could and should continue to constantly rest in God’s amazing grace and in his incredible peace that passes all understanding. As I go through life, I’m realizing that I need both of these, almost as much as I need the air I breathe.
Prayers tonight, can continue for Michael and for the best timing for his upcoming surgery. Also just for his family as they continue to come along side of him throughout all of the ups and downs of this journey. Thank you so much, dear friends,
