“You are with me.” Tonight, I find such truth and comfort in these four simple, yet powerful words. They, simply stated, remind us that God is always by our side. That no matter what, we don’t walk through this life alone. That God never intended for us to try to carry all of our troubles by ourselves. But that He, indeed, is with us. Loving us. Helping us. And walking right besides us.
I know for fact that God is with our amazing friend Michael. I know that God was with him today, when he had his surgery this morning. Everything went according to plan and Sally reported that the surgery was very successful and that she could already see how it was helping Michael. She also shared that though Michael was running low fevers today, overall, he was more alert and doing well.
And going forward, we can continue to pray with confidence knowing that God is and that God will continue to be with Michael, every step of the way. And this applies not only to Michael, but to all of us who have placed our hope and our trust in Jesus. It’s a simple reminder for tonight and one that makes a huge difference in all of our lives.
