We enjoyed a pretty full and fun fall weekend. The kids have really been into bike riding so we’ve been tearing up our little town with rides down to the water and up to town. Saturday morning, we hung out at our church’s Bizarre Bazaar, a fun take on a big yard sale with donations going to help our community. And then on Saturday evening, we drove over to catch the tail end of the Westhampton Beach Harvest Festival.
We started out at the Library.
Because that is where Jeremy was working. I just have to say, I’m so proud of my husband. This past semester, in addition to a pretty full youth pastoring schedule, he’s taken two Liberty University classes towards his Masters of Divinity, facilitated an online class for Grace Bible College and is currently working on putting together lessons for an upcoming conference that he will have out in Seattle. He’s a hard worker and that is something that I’m very thankful for. We timed it out perfectly, because the Library was closing so it was a great time for us to go and check out the Festival.
We walked down through the vendors and Food trucks that lined the Main Street in Westhampton. We caught up with Ellee and Christian’s favorite Music teacher, Mr. Frederick, who was at the Festival performing with his band, Souled Out. In addition to being extremely talented, Mr. Frederick is also an incredible teacher who does a wonderful job encouraging and inspiring students. We are so blessed to know him and to have him teach our children.
We also caught up with other friends, who were enjoying the Fall festivities. It was a beautiful day and everyone was out making the most of it.
After walking the main street, we headed down towards the water. The kids found Mr. Softee and we sat and ate and enjoyed the live music.
When we walked back to the Main Street, we got to enjoy the last few songs from Souled Out.
They are an incredible Band and listening to their music was the perfect way to end our evening.
Well, almost the perfect way.
Because we may or may not have stopped by the Beach Bakery to pick up a few treats and that may have actually been the second perfect way to end our day. We also got to see our friend John who happened to be working that night too.
All in all, it was a fantastic evening. Thanks Westhampton for your Fall Festival, with its fun food and fun music. You were an excellent way to spend our weekend and we appreciate all of those who put in their hard work to make the Festival a great success!
