So, as we eagerly soak up our last few bits of Summer Vacation, our days have filled up with impromptu playdates, random house projects (our dining room now boasts beautiful hardwood floors, found underneath carpet that never should have been) and lots of beautiful beach evenings with our boat. And I’m so thankful to share that amidst everything else, I’ve had some really fantastic photography jobs as well.
One, in particular, took place a few weeks ago at Starr Boggs in Westhampton. Friday evening I received a call asking if I was available to photograph a Wedding Shower that was taking place the very next day. Aunt Judy explained that their photographer was unavailable last minute and would I be able to come and capture her niece’s special day? I was available and able to come and the event turned out to be an absolutely beautiful afternoon of celebration. For a good four hours, I captured details and friends and family and food. I personally love Event Photography. I love having clients invest in something that will last. The food, the venue, and the entertainment will all last for the day. But the photographs… They will last for a lifetime.
I’m so thankful to have been able to capture some beautiful moments from Alexandra’s Wedding Shower. Her friends and family were wonderful to work with and everyone had an incredible time celebrating Alexandra and her upcoming marriage. With permission from her family I thought I’d share some of the pictures that I captured from the afternoon along with a few little thoughts as well.
Every detail was on point and perfectly coordinating with the theme of the shower.
My Dad always said, “Family is forever.” He was right and it was so sweet to see Alexandra at her Wedding Shower surrounded by her beautiful family.
This is a bit random. The two beautiful ladies on the left are some of my gym friends. It took me a minute to figure out where I knew them since when we’re at the gym, we’re usually not quite so fancy and dressed up. It was fun to see them and the sweet relationship that they had with the Bride and her wonderful family.
This little darling will be Alexandra’s flower girl. She was so sweet and I’m sure she will do a wonderful job.
The Groom did stop by for a few pictures and to say hello to his gorgeous fiancé.
Bridesmaids. They are the best. And Alexandra has some pretty fantastic ones too.
I just have to say. Alexandra was so fun to watch as she opened her gifts. She was excited about each one and made sure to let each gift giver know how much she appreciated their gift.
More details. Because who doesn’t love fun, personalized glasses?
And a little shout out to Starr Boggs. They hosted an incredible afternoon. The food and service were absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a great place to host a party, you should certainly check them out.
Never have I ever seen a Bride rock a Ribbon hat as fabulous as this one. Credit goes to some pretty skilled bridesmaids.
And to end, I just have to say, Congratulations Alexandra! Love and prayers for you as you prepare for your upcoming wedding. You have a beautiful family and incredible friends and I wish you all the very best. Thank you for letting me spend such a special afternoon with you.
