Let me tell you about my friend Emily…

So let me tell you about my friend Emily Prott.  First off, we’ve known her ever since she started coming to our Youth Group in Jr. High.  Even back then, I remember thinking that she was such a sweet girl.  She was an incredibly hard worker in school and she was a very kind friend.  She also loved babies and kids and especially loved our sweet Ellee girl.

As the years passed, I watcher her grow into this amazing young woman.  She always had a love for Jesus and that love showed throughout her entire being.  She continued to be a hard, hard worker in school and continued to be a kind friend.  She also continued to love kids and babies.

When we ran a Pre-K through 2nd Grade program at our church called Kids Club, I asked her if she would come and help out.  Much to my delight, she did.

She was the kind of helper that took time to care for and consider every child.

And even if they were feeling sad, soon enough she would have them smiling again.  I know this because she was always there to help Ellee out when she was feeling sad.

Emily graduated from Center Moriches High School and then went on to study at St. Joseph’s College.  She continued to work hard and this past year, she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology.

We were so happy to have Emily come up through our youth group, but even more happy when she decided to come back to our youth group as a Youth Leader.  She has encouraged countless girls throughout the past four years and so many of them look up to and adore her.  Last year, Emily also joined our Missions Team and went to Costa Rica to love kids there and to serve Jesus.

Her fun loving personality was contagious with the kids that she worked with.  They loved her and loved having fun with her.  She jumped right in and was not afraid to get her hands (and face) a little dirty, all in the name of loving kids and showing them how much God loves them too.

I cannot say enough beautiful things about this dear friend of mine.

Over the years, I have thought so many times that I wish that our daughter would grow up to be like our friend Emily Prott.  She is beautiful and kind, hard-working and compassionate.  She is also caring and loving and encouraging.  She loves people and especially loves children.  I would trust her with my kids’ lives and know that they are always in good hands when they are with her.

And I write this all to share that my amazing friend Emily is looking for a full time nannying job for the fall.  If you couldn’t tell from this post, she is coming highly recommended.  Throughout college, she has also worked for a preschool and I know that she was incredibly loved there too.  She just has this sweet way with kids and when they are with her, they know that they are loved and cared for.

A few other things to note.  She’s looking for a full time job through the fall to the end of the year.  Because in January, she will be leaving for a six month missions trip.  She is taking time to love and serve God as she seeks His will and plan for her life. So she will spend the fall working full-time while applying for Graduate School (she’s pursuing her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology).

So, all that being said.  If you or someone you know is looking for the best possible care for your child/children this Fall, please consider my friend Emily.  Her contact number is 631-561-8224.  She is also available on Facebook.  And if you need a great reference for her, you know I’d be happy to give one.
