This afternoon, Ellee and her sweet friend Stella had a lovely Sunday afternoon tea, complete with fancy dresses. It warmed my heart to see them sitting there, drinking their tea with not a care in the world.
Stella was all giggles and smiles, with her fancy headband and sweet personality. I’m thankful for our kids and their friends of all ages.
Tea time today, technically didn’t consist of tea, but home made Limeade.
Because nothing beats the heat like sliced up limes in a bit of sugar water.
The girls also enjoyed mini Nilla wafer cookies with frosting and pretzels too. It seemed to be the perfect snack combo to go with their tea, er, limeade.
Ellee was most delighted by the tiny spoons. I found them randomly at Waldbaums last time I was grocery shopping. They were the perfect size for her tea cups and she thought they were wonderful.
I loved watching the delicateness that Tea Parties bring. The dainty spreading of frosting on tiny cookies,
And the sweet little stirring of tiny silver plastic Waldbaums spoons.
It was sweetness overload.
My favorite part of the afternoon was when I told Ellee maybe her Daddy would like to come to the Tea party. Instead it was Stella who jumped up and ran over to invite him.
He joined the girls and they all had a delightful time.
Sunday afternoon tea was my highlight. Even in the heat, it’s good to get together with friends and we are thankful for our friend Stella and a fun playdate today.
My, what a sweet friendship they have found! We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful family to call our friends. Thank you for this day and for capturing these moments so beautifully.
