Okay, so pardon the quick post, but it’s going in two in the morning for my tired body and as soon as I finish I’ll be heading to bed.
First things first. Our missions team is safe and sound in Costa Rica. Our travels were long (especially on our way to Newark) but thankfully we are all safe and sound. Our three or so hour drive to the airport was nerve wracking at times due to the heavy traffic, but thanks to the amazing driving of John Albano, we arrived on time and everything worked out fine. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and then boarded our plane for the four and a half hour flight.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Pastor Alonzo and other wonderful friends from the church. They were a much welcomed sight. We loaded everyone into vans and drove right to the church where we will be staying. We unpacked, got our rooms ready and then most of our team played a few games of soccer. We met up later, to share our plans for tomorrow and then sent everyone to bed. We’ll be up bright and early tomorrow, and are looking forward to a great first day in Costa Rica. I cannot thank you enough for your thoughts and prayers for our team and our trip. Thanks so much, and goodnight for now!
