So, thankfully, the ends of this and that and the lasts of the school year are finally done. Looking back, it was a pretty spectacular year, but I’m sure we can all relate with the relief of Summer Vacation, finally being here.
That being said, much of the beginning of this week for our family will involve lots of organizing, packing and planning. Because we are leaving on a jet plane on Thursday.
Our destination? A missions trip to Costa Rica. It’s a first for our family. Not so much for missions trips though. Since moving to New York to serve at Eastport Bible Church, we’ve traveled to Brazil, Puerto Rico (twice) and Costa Rica to serve and share God’s love. Every trip has been quite spectacular, but for me, every trip was lacking just a bit. Because for every other trip, our family has been separated. Jeremy and I have gone off with teams of awesome students and leaders, and our kids have stayed behind, with family or friends.
But this trip? We’re all four going. And we’re taking fourteen other leaders and students with us. And I could not be more excited. I’m thrilled to be taking our kids on a lifetime opportunity. I pray that they will learn lots and serve lots too. All that being said, I’m hoping to fit another post or two in, but starting Thursday, will be doing much of my blogging from the beautiful country of Costa Rica. If you want to follow our journey, feel free to check in to see what we are up to.
Besides that, thanks for stopping by and Happy Monday!
