Today, was the last day of the school year. And so, like everyone else, we took our last day pictures. But when I decided to look up the first day pictures, it was kind of hard to believe. Because how is it possible that our kids have changed so much in only a short amount of time?
Christian’s apparently ten going on fifteen. I remember him not being thrilled about doing first day pictures, but thankfully last day pics were a little easier. He had a great year of fifth grade. He got to know new friends, had a very fun teacher and overall was pretty awesome. He excelled in all of his subjects and we are super proud of all that he’s done. This year he played soccer, basketball and then ended the year with a new sport, track, which started in the Spring and goes all throughout the summer into the fall.
Ellee started the year in fancy black heels and ended the year in other fancy black heels. She’s still such a sweet girl and had an amazing year of second grade. She had a wonderful class full of friends and the best second grade teacher ever. She worked really, really hard this year and learned lots of great things. She enjoyed sewing lessons this year and also joined up with track in the Spring.
It’s been awesome to see how our family has grown this year.
We could not be prouder of our kids and all that they learned.
And I personally, could not be prouder of how my family has mastered the art of the goofy picture. Thanks mostly to their dad.
Mom pics are a bit more reserved. Which is okay too.
And finally, I doubt I will ever get tired of Daddy and Ellee pics.
With cheek kisses too.
Congrats to our kids. They successfully accomplished another year of school and they can finally enjoy summer. Our summer plans include a Missions Trip to Costa Rica, NTS Camp for Jeremy and Christian, a trip to Michigan for me and Ellee, a week of VBS and then an end of summer youth group trip to Hershey Park. We are so excited for the fun things that our family has in store. Happy Last Day of School to all of our New York Friends!
They definitely have changed. I love Ellee’s glasses. Keep up the good work kids and enjoy the much deserved and busy summer.
