While walking out the door this evening, I stumbled upon this.
Because, oh, you know. It was just our daughter. In her fancy Disney Princess pajamas that Grandma bought her on her last visit. Because, just saying, this mom isn’t the type to indulge, but apparently, Grandma is.
Moving along. Which she was, literally.
Because when I found her, she was sitting on two skateboards and pushing herself with an old golf putter.
Because she is the type of girl who can make her own fun.
And I thought, “Good for you, Ellee girl.” It’s a Memorial Day weekend and almost the start of summer. And this year, as with all years, I want our kids to get outside and just have fun being kids.
So I guess there’s not much else to say, but Happy Weekend. It’s going to be a beautiful one, and who knows? Maybe you’ll find your own old golf putter and a couple of skateboards and make a few fun memories as well.
