I have to admit. It’s been a crazy busy week. And a bit more so than normal. Today, I took Spring and Graduation pictures at Over the Rainbow, filled in for the church secretary for a few hours, packed Christian up to go to Campfest for the weekend, and then mostly cleaned our house to host youth group kids tonight for the 30 Hour Famine. All that being said, I also had tickets for Ellee and I to go and see Eastport Elementary’s 5th and 6th grade musical, The Little Mermaid. And despite the busyness of the rest of the day, it was so much fun to sit and see this fantastic production and turned out to be a nice, enjoyable break from the rest of my busy day.
We knew quite a few students that participated in the musical.
And I have to say, all of the kids did an outstanding job tonight.
The musical was funny and entertaining.
And I just have to say that the actress that played Ursula was absolutely outstanding. I would not be surprised to see her in future performances, she was fantastically entertaining.
We were also super excited to see our dear friend Kate, in her first musical debut.
She was pretty awesome herself and we were so proud.
All in all, it was a highly enjoyable and entertaining evening.
This was one of my favorite pictures from the night. Because it shows just a glimpse of all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. In my opinion, the stage crew is always the unsung heart and soul of a production like this.
And this girl? I love her. That Emma Knote has such character and she stood out tonight as well.
I teared up a bit at the end. Because it was so fun to see all everyone’s hard work and dedication pay off.
A huge congratulations to the cast and crew of The Little Mermaid! You did an incredible job tonight!
