So, should you ever come to visit us on Long Island, we will do our best to fit in all of the East Coast fun that we can. We’ll take trips up to Boston, and visit my favorite Tea Room. We’ll eat late night food at the Moriches Diner or grab a few slices from Michaelangelo’s. I’ll show you our beaches and our favorite shops. But in between all of that, you can come and hang out where our heart is and that’s in our home.
Over the past week, we had some of the best times, at home with our sweet Baby Jae.
Ellee and Christian made sure she was well entertained, and well fed.
And had he not been traipsing around Isreal and Jordan, Uncle Jeremy would have loved seeing Jae enjoying “a little Duke Basketball” as well.
Other favorite moments would also have included seeing Auntie Ky cooking with Ellee in the kitchen. Sometimes it makes me sad that we don’t live by our families who are spread out between Washington, Michigan and Arizona. But when we are able to see family, there is nothing more that I love that good old fashioned quality time, spent together. Those are the memories that will last in our hearts.
Last Thursday night, Ky and Ellee made a beautiful meal for us and we enjoyed every bite.
All in all, it was a wonderful week well spent. We had our fun moments, but we also enjoyed our chill times as well.
This morning, bright and early we said goodbye to our sweet baby cousin as she and her Mama flew back home to Arizona. (I’m so thankful to share that they arrived, safe and sound.)
We absolutely loved being able spend the week together and have quite a few special memories that will last until our next times together. We are so thankful that Auntie Ky and Jae were able to be with us, in our home and where our heart always is.
