I could tell you…

So, I could tell you how our two hour off the New London ferry drive up to Boston turned into a three and a half hour getting lost then getting found marathon (thanks Apple map).

And I could then tell you how I got pulled over by a police officer standing in the road next to the official Sleepy Hollow Cemetary.  When I looked up and saw him, he was waving his hands at me like a crazy person and yelling.  When I pulled over, he angrily told me that I was going 35mph in a 30mph zone and how dare I not stop immediately, regardless of the fact that I had just seen him and was mostly just confused as to what he was doing and why he was standing in the road.

Finally, I could tell you that I felt pretty irritated for getting pulled over for doing five over and even more irritated when the “citation” that he gave me said I was doing ten over.

But nah.  I’ll just tell you that today, I got to take a road trip up to Boston with my amazing sister in law and my adorable niece.

I’ll also tell you that we had hours of great conversations that we never usually get to have since she lives in Arizona and we live in New York.

I’ll tell you that when we finally found the right exit, I saw so many amazing historical things in and around Concord.

I’ll tell you that I’m incredibly glad that I didn’t get a ticket.  For doing five over the speed limit…

And finally, I’ll tell you that I’m so happy to have a little perspective.  I’m thrilled to be in Boston with Ky and Jae.  We are staying with Matt’s family and we had a great night with them.  Seeing how happy they are to see Ky and the baby totally makes everything worthwhile.  We are looking forward to spending more time with family, then exploring Concord tomorrow before heading back in the evening to Long Island.  I’m praying that our time will be well spent and that our drive home will be far less eventful.  Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!
