Early on Sunday morning a crowd gathered together to celebrate Jesus and watch the sun rise over the Bay.
The Skarka family led everyone in some Easter Sunday worship, voices strong with the strum of the guitar.
Later, Josh Tuttle, shared of the Jesus the Son’s rising, in the warming light of the sun rise and I knew it would be a connection that I would remember for years to come.
It was a sunny, but cold morning and the perfect way to begin our Easter celebration.
After the service, Christian and Ellee skipped stones across mirror smooth waters.
While I sought out a few families to pose for a picture or two. I have this growing theory that you really should always remember to take the time to capture your family’s ever changing moments.
A little more stone skipping before heading over to the church for breakfast.
We enjoyed Easter breakfast and a little catch up time with friends.
And even had a few moments for some Easter dress parking lot twirls.
Our Easter Sunday worship service was celebrated with some of our favorite families.
I can’t think of a better way to spend Easter than by worshiping with our amazing church family.
Jeremy did a wonderful job preaching and I was so proud of him and the beautiful words that he shared.
And afterwards, more catching up, and more pictures with people we love.
And finally, I thought I’d end with a few lyrics from my favorite Easter hymn ever. It gives me encouragement not only at Easter, but all throughout the year. Happy (late) Easter everyone!
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future.
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.”
