Um, seriously March 5th?
When we woke up to a 5am Snow Day phone call and I looked out the window and couldn’t see the ground again, I kind of felt like this. Because, I mean, enough is enough, right? Last I checked, I don’t live in Alaska, Buffalo or even Michigan.
But then I thought, eh. What are you going to do? The good news is, is that in a few days, we’ll be back in the 40s and so even this new stuff will have to melt away.
So, until then…
I’ll stop. And think of all of the things to be thankful for in this snowstorm.
One. It’s pretty. Every time I look out the window, I feel like I’m living in a snow globe.
Two. Because we got a lot of rain yesterday, and it created a layer of ice underneath all of this beautiful snow, it probably contributed to the Snow Day that our kids got. And I have to say, for the most part, I love a good snow day. That feeling you get when you can just roll over and go back to sleep? Priceless.
Three. Um, this might be a stretch, but because it snowed again, I now get to shovel again. Which I’ve realized is a really good arm workout. Woohoo.
Yeah, that might be about it for things to be thankful for, at least for now.
Oh, and I suppose I’m thankful that Christian had fun leaping off the fence into the soft snow beneath.
He only went out for a few minutes to grab something he left in our car.
After a few minutes, he looked like this as he ran back to our warm house. As for us, we’ll be enjoying the rest of this storm indoors. I’d say we have a good six inches out there, and even though it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon, I’m hoping that it will. To those of us locally, stay safe and warm!
