So, this past weekend we had Christian’s last basketball game, a mini blizzard of sorts (which created a Sunday snow day for us) and what I believe to be our (Jer and I’s) 12th Spaghetti Supper. And that is kind of a mouthful.
The basketball game was great. It was the final playoff game and the last game of the season. We ended up playing a great team. One of their players was in a preschool class that I taught years ago so it was extra fun seeing him and how amazing he is.
Christian had a great game.
He played with lots of heart, which is really the best possible way to play.
All in all, we had a great season. We have wonderful coaches and a great group of guys. We won our game and it was the perfect way to end the season.
This dad was pretty proud of his son.
Saturday night, a blizzard rolled through. We didn’t get too much snow, which was nice, but it was crazy cold.
It was blustery and icy enough that our church cancelled services for Sunday morning.
But thankfully, everything cleared up that afternoon, just in time for us to host our annual Spaghetti Supper.
We had a great group of kids come out to help serve throughout the night.
Our students were in charge of helping in any and every way and we are really proud of them and all of their hard work.
I usually take more pictures than I did last night, but in all honesty, I was really enjoying catching up with friends and talking to this boy’s amazing mom. He and his brother have been coming to Hangtime and we were so excited that their family joined us last night.
I did catch a few shots throughout the night.
Everything went well and we were able to feed a lot of hungry people.
We are so thankful for everyone who help3ed to make this night a great success. We had all sorts of people cooking sauces, helping in the kitchen and helping with clean up.
After the dinner, we gathered together for some worship and to see videos of our Breakaway weekend.
Students and leaders shared throughout the night.
We are so proud of our students.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate the weekend and our Spaghetti Supper was another fantastic event.
