Life is mostly back to normal after an awesome vacation and it’s all good. Today, Christian had a basketball game, so we all bundled up to stay warm in this bitter winter cold and drove out to the high school to cheer him on.
It was fun seeing him back together with his basketball team.
If we had one wish for our son when it comes to his sports endeavors, it’s not for perfect play or an undefeated record. It’s that he would play wholeheartedly. Every time. It’s that he would do his very best and that he would put his whole heart into everything that he does. And today? He did just that. And it was awesome and we were so proud. He got a few baskets which was nice, but most importantly, he worked hard and he hustled and it was incredibly fun to watch.
Oh, and his team ended up winning which was also fun, making their record 3-0.
And tonight? We’re rooting on the Seahawks. Because they are in the playoffs, and my Seattle born and raised husband would love to see his team make it to the Superbowl again. He’s a little nervous but it should be a pretty exciting evening of football. So I’d better go for now. Have a wonderful Saturday night and thanks for stopping by!
