When you wake up on Christmas Eve, to your husband dressed like this, you’d better believe that it’s going to be a great day.
And it was. It started off pretty rainy with our Annual Jingle Bowl Flag Football game. I’m not gonna lie, I hung out for just long enough to get a couple of quick pictures.
Football in the rain is not for me, but it was for this awesome kid who clearly takes after his father with his amazing athletic abilities.
They must have had fun.
Despite the rain, it wasn’t really cold this year, which was nice.
They ended up playing for a good hour and a half.
And thankfully, no one got hurt, which was a blessing considering that one year that our friend Will needed to surgically repair his knee after playing in the Jingle Bowl a few years ago. I’m happy to report that he’s doing just fine these days and thankfully it didn’t keep him from playing football with us.
Gold star to all of the awesome kids that came out for the Jingle Bowl. I usually stick around for a group picture, but my camera was not a fan of the rain this year, so I guess we’ll have to wait for next year.
My camera was a fan of getting lots of pictures at tonight’s Christmas Eve Candlelight Services. We had two at our church and they were both awesome. I took lots of pictures, because everything was so pretty and Christmasy and because I just genuinely love our church family.
What can I say? Best Photobomb ever.
Quick note on this guy. I love him so much and am so proud of the way that he preaches. He shared great truth tonight on how Christmas is actually not about giving, but receiving. It was not a traditional thought, but so true considering how God gave us the greatest gift and all we have to do is receive it.
And if you couldn’t tell…
Our kids were huge fans of the candlelight part of the service. This girl especially.
After the second service, we took a few more pictures.
And then called it a night after this one. Merry, merry Christmas Eve to everyone!
