We had Hangtime yesterday. And it was awesome, as usual.
These handsome guys were there. Hanging out with about 46 other friends. I’m thrilled with the amazing kids that have been joining us each week. They keep coming back and they keep inviting friends, so we continue to increase our group. Most importantly is loving these kids and letting them know how much God loves them. It’s something that we try to teach them each week that they come.
Hangtime was pretty busy yesterday. We are putting on a Children’s Christmas Play and so much of my workshop time was helping out in that area. So, I didn’t get a whole lot of pictures, but I can say that it was another fun afternoon, spent with the great kids of Hangtime.
Afterwards, we went home and brought these kids with us.
They all go to Stockade, so we’ve been inviting them over for dinner in between the two programs. I fed them alfredo sauce and pasta and spicy chicken sausages, which they all loved. It also made me smile to think of them sitting there at the dinner table. My older sister Leslie will have her eighth baby next year, so I got to get a little taste of what it would be like to have eight kids at the table each night. And I figured it would be pretty amazing and pretty crazy.
All in all, that was our Wednesday. After they ate, they walked over to Boys Stockade with Jeremy and our home was quiet. I feel like it’s pretty symbolic of how our days are this month. They continue to be a fine balance of busy and quiet and I’m doing my best to be thankful for both sides of that scale.
