Today started bright and early and beautifully chilly as we headed out to East Moriches for Christian’s last soccer game.
We bundled up.
And we cheered for our son, who played a great game against a beautiful background of fall foliage.
Kudos to his sweet sister, who endured the cold like a champ. She’s been so faithful over the years, sitting in on Christian’s games and practices.
Afterward the game, we headed out quickly onto the next adventure of the day.
We drove up to Cutchogue, so that Christian could play in his first basketball game of the season. It was a special game, because he was invited to play with the CYO travel team. Because this team has most of its games on Sundays, Chrsitian wasn’t able to play with them this year, but did get to participate in their only Saturday game.
He did a good job. It was fun to see him playing basketball again.
The team overall did an incredible job.
They have two great coaches and it was great to see them put everything together to come out strong for their game.
They ended up winning by close to 20 points. All in all, it was a great game and we were all so proud of the boys.
After that game, Jeremy and Christian headed out for the last Youth for Christ Flag Football games of the year. And Ellee and I headed over to Eastport’s very last Duck Farm to hang out with these cute ducks. I cannot wait to share more about that adventure later.
It was a Super Saturday. It was full and memorable and now that I’ve finished this post, I’m heading out for a little dinner date night with Jeremy to wrap it all up. Our kids are happily hanging out with their favorite babysitter and we are excited to enjoy a little time out together. Thanks so much for checking in! Oh, and if you are local, Jeremy will be preaching tomorrow at Eastport Bible Church and he has some great things to share, so please come and join us, bright and early at 9:30am.
