The tree in our front yard is golden and fiery these days. It’s a beautiful and though I appreciate it’s glory, I know that all too soon, it’s going to dump about a foot deep of its leaves in our front yard. But somedays, you just need to live in the present, so I’ll presently enjoy its glorious wonder for now.
Also, if I were to paint it in a picture, from memory, I suppose in my minds eye, it would look a little like this. Because I can’t get over how the trees all look like they are on fire with their yellows and oranges and reds. Fall is for sure my favorite visual season of the year.
Moving on. This afternoon, underneath our glorious tree, these little girls posed for a quick picture or two.
It seems these days, they have gotten quite good at the last minute, after school playdates.
Wide eyed and with sweet smiles, they plead for playdates, and since it was a free afternoon, the mamas said “yes,” to an hour of after school fun.
So before we went inside, the other golden trees down our roads were just asking for pictures to be taken, so we stopped in the street and took a few to commemorate this lovely fall day. And then those sweet girls ran inside to make some homemade whipped cream to go with their cookies and then played a few rounds of “school.” Because when you’re 7 almost 8, playing school is just as fun, if not more fun that going to school.
And that about wraps up this short, colorful Monday post. Hope you all are enjoying some beautiful, fiery fall days too!
