Good things are happening here…

This is Eastport Bible Church.  And good things are happening here.

We’ve gone through some changes in the past few months.  But I’m learning to realize that change is good.  Like fresh coat of paint good.  Which is what our church building has been getting over the past month.  Paul and the crew from Valley Restoration has been doing an incredible job, scraping, painting and then painting some more.

And inside our church, we are going strong.

We’ve really enjoyed having our interim Pastor here with his amazing wife.  Jerry and DeAnna Olson have been a beautiful addition to the leadership of Eastport Bible Church.  They have jumped, feet first into loving and serving with our church family and it has been wonderful.  I know that I am especially thankful that they are here, since it means that we now have two pastors at the church, instead of just one.  Jeremy has really enjoyed working with Pastor Jerry and the two are sharing preaching time as well.  So if you come and visit our church on Sunday mornings, you’ll get to hear some amazing preaching and encouragement from these awesome pastors.

And after the service, you can join us for some delicious snacks during our Meet and Greet time, followed by all sorts of amazing groups geared towards learning more about Jesus in fun, classroom settings.

And just so you know, good things aren’t only happening on Sundays.

They happen all throughout the week.  We have clubs and groups for people of all ages.  We have Bible Study Groups, Knitting Clubs and a wonderful group for Seniors.  There is also a Prayer Group that meets every morning at 7:00am.  They are amazing and they are the prayer warriors for our church and community.  And for the kids, we have all sorts of options, my personal favorite being our new after school program, Hangtime.

We also have 3rd-6th Grade groups for girls and boys.  Our son loves the Stockade Boys group that meets on Wednesday nights.  It’s led by some amazing men and dads from our church as well as a handful of young men who are alumni of the Stockade program and have come back as leaders to help out.

And then, on Thursday nights, you’ll find the greatest Jr. and Sr. High kids around.  We meet up with them each week for Youth Group and it’s been an incredible year.  We have so many amazing students as well as a solid team of leaders who dedicate their Thursday nights to hanging out with teenagers and supporting and encouraging them throughout the year.

And I have to say that some of the coolest things that happen at Eastport Bible Church, are the things that happen behind the scenes.  We have the most incredible people who give their time and energy into making our church amazing.  You might not ever see them up front, but they are doing God’s work and blessing so many in their own, quiet, unannounced ways.

Yes, good things are happening at Eastport Bible Church.  And a big reason, is because we are a church of good, amazing people.  We’re not perfect, but we love Jesus, we love our church family and we love our community.

And if you’re looking for a place to call your church home, stop by.  Our Sunday worship service starts early at 9:30am, but it’s the perfect way to kick off the week.  If you are local, we would absolutely love to have you join our church family, anytime.  Thanks so much for stopping by to read about the good things that are happening at Eastport Bible Church.

I love Jesus, my Youth Pastor Husband and our two beautiful children. I'm a professional photographer and I love people, especially kids. My best days include time with my family, Hot Yoga and a Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream cone.
