I met Keith and Claire Benson about three years ago when I helped put together a promotional video for a new church that they were planting on the North Fork.
It was this beautiful story of responding to God’s calling to a new home. I was nervous and excited and scared for them as they shared their hopes and dreams. The thought of leaving what was comfortable, for what was unknown would bring anxiety to most, but they had a quiet confidence in trusting that God was leading them exactly to the place that He wanted them to be.
Fast forward to last weekend, and I had the privilege of meeting up with them again for a family portrait session.
It was so exciting to see where God has brought this beautiful family.
They are currently serving in a beautiful church up in Cutchogue, called, True Light Church. We actually have a number of friends who have gone to the church and they are doing wonderfully.
I have a special place in my heart for families in ministry. It’s not always easy, but it’s such a beautiful calling. Claire and Keith were faithful to God’s leading and it’s evident that God is using them in incredible ways.
And their sweet kids were absolutely wonderful to work with as well.
All in all, it was a wonderful session, spent with an incredible family. I pray that God continues to richly bless the Bensons and will look forward to catching up with them as God continues to lead their family.
