We met Cory Clark about 10 years ago, when he was a high school student in the early years of our youth ministry.
He was a tall, well-liked kid.
He was a guy with few words but you always wanted to hear whatever he had to say.
Oh. And he had a band and a best friend. And we loved them both.
A few weekends ago, I had the great privilege of photographing his wedding day. A bit before his ceremony, I met up with his beautiful bride as she was getting ready.
Beneath, wedding guests were arriving and there was a chilled excitement in the air.
The ceremony was sunny and the weather was perfect for a beautiful fall wedding.
My amazing husband officiated the ceremony. It’s funny, because when we started in youth ministry, I imagined days like this one, that Jeremy would get to officiate for students that we got to know through youth group. It’s an awesome thing, to be a youth pastor, in my opinion.
And the vows? They were some of the best and most heart felt ones that I’ve heard.
Many happy tears were flowing as precious promises were made.
After the ceremony, we gathered together for some formal shots.
And then headed indoors for the reception. It was a beautiful venue and everything was picture perfect, which is just how this wedding photographer prefers it.
First dances were danced.
And then came more heart felt speeches
And more happy tears.
And then came the dancing.
There was lots of it and it was a great way to celebrate the joy of the afternoon.
Danielle and Cory Clark, it was a great honor to be able to be a part of your wedding day. We pray that God will richly bless you and your new family and we are excited to see the great things that you both will do!
