This is an old update from a few days ago, but I thought I would post it. We are currently in Palermo, Italy on the last day of our cruise. We head back to Rome tomorrow and then home! It’s been amazing, but I’m so excited to get home to our kids and our life. Anyhow, here’s a slightly old update:
My last posts were written during the three days that we spent in Rome. Having consistent internet access in our hotel made it easy to blog. I am really looking forward to sharing all about our Rome experiences and adventures (and there were many) but will have to wait till I get home since we only have sporadic wifi access now that we are on our cruise.
All that being said, to give an update. we left Rome on Friday afternoon and took a train down to Civitavecchia. That in itself was quite the experience. The train station was one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. When a woman walked up to us an offered to help us, we took her up on her offer and she helped the process to go much more smoothly. We paid a little more than we had planned for her help but all in all it was worth it having someone who knew exactly what they were doing.
When we reached the port and boarded our cruise ship it was bittersweet saying goodbye to the amazing time that we had in Rome. It was also exciting to think of the new adventures we would have on our cruise around the Mediterranean.
Today was our first full cruise day and the first of our five stops. Jeremy and I took a tour and visited Cinco Terra by boat, getting stunning views of the five incredible towns by the sea. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I cannot wait to share more pictures and memories when I’m able to blog more.
Tomorrow we will be in France, and we are looking forward to visiting Marseille as well as another beautiful town by the sea. I’m hoping to get this post up if we are able to find wifi at a restaurant or cafe. The rest of our travels will include another stop in Italy, one in Tunisa, Africa and one on the island of Malta.
We are so thankful that God has blessed our trip and our travels. We are loving our time in Europe but I know that when we are finished we will be looking forward to getting home to our kids and normal life. We have so many exciting things happening this fall and it will be exciting to get back into the swing of things.
Well, it’s late and typing on my phone is proving to take too long. Have a good night or day, depending on when you read this and thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing, I can’t wait to hear all about your trip
