They say that all good things must come to an end. And tonight, that became the truth for our Men’s Softball team.
It wasn’t for lack of effort.
Or for lack of sporty background music, which Kevin Skarka and his laptop graciously provided.
It also wasn’t for lack of Superfans. Because these two amazing women were there,
As well as my friend Anna, aka Supermom, who drove a good 14 hours from Indiana with her sweet twins this morning, just to be at this game.
We also had these three friends in attendance. They are staying at our house tonight before getting up bright and early tomorrow morning to start a trip in which they will bike up the coast to Maine. It’s crazy, awesome and true.
Also in attendance: My son. Who, despite my best efforts, insists on rocking his own, unique clothing style.
Anyhow, I guess it’s just that in life, sometimes you win,
And sometimes you lose.
And tonight, we happened to be on the losing end.
Hats off, to a great season, led by this awesome man.
It was another one down and another season of good memories.
Great job Ironmen!
We love you all and are so proud, regardless of the final score.
And we’ll look keep looking forward, to next year and next season.
I love baseball in any form. It is such a family friendly and fun summer activity. Our season, which begins in the winter, finally ended last weekend. As much as I love it, having evenings back for projects, bike rides, and just plain relaxing for the last month of summer is fantastic!
