Ellee and Casey have been friends since Preschool.
I personally think it was their kind hearts and sweet personalities that formed the basis for their friendship, even at such a young age.
This past Sunday, we got to spend the day with Casey and her beautiful Mama. Our first stop, after the Bagel shop which I guess was our first, first stop, was a cute little Jewelry store. The girls found matching “Best Friends” necklaces that they loved, so we got them to commemorate the day and their friendship. I told Ellee that the best kinds of friends to have, are friends that are the best and that that is what her necklace represented.
After the jewelry shop, we walked next door to the hair salon. The highlight of the day was that Casey was going to cut and donate her beautiful hair. Since Ellee had done the same thing a few months earlier, we thought it would be fun to have the girls go together. And it was.
Casey was so sweet sitting in the hairdressers chair.
She smiled shyly while she got her hair cut and we were so so excited for her.
She ended up donating 10 inches of her beautiful brown hair.
And when she was done, it was so sweet to see her expression at her new hair cut. Her beautiful Mama was so excited for her and it was such a special thing to be a part of.
This was the final result. She looked a teensy bit older and she and Ellee were excited to have the same length haircut. We told them that they could both grow their hair out again and that we could donate it together next time. All in all, it was a very good hair day.
We wrapped up the day with ice cream cones…
And giant new Beanie Boos, aptly named “Ellie.” It was so nice spending time with our friends and we are so thankful to have gotten to share in such a special day.
